The Spring Workshops in China introduce students to field experiments over three intensive days of training. Students work in teams with Columbia University researchers to design and partially execute their own field experiments, which they then present at the end of the workshop. The program is structured for students with an interest in the social sciences and no prior experiences or knowledge are required.

The next workshop will be held in 2020 and information for how to apply will be announced in the fall of 2019.

The 2018 Shanghai Workshop

During the Columbia INCITE Social Science Workshop, I was given the opportunity to work closely with the truly exceptional scholars from Columbia University and other bright minds coming from all parts of the country. All participants of the Workshop got to exchange their ideas and were given a brand new perspective for looking at the social dynamics that are happening around us each second. The Workshop has definitely consolidated my conviction to further explore the field of social sciences. I am truly grateful that Columbia INCITE Social Science Workshop has been my starting point and the experience was one that’s transformative.
